It's only been only about a month since the blog was asked to review the first book in this series, which led to the reviewing of the second book and now finally the third novel. Once again we are back in this wonderful majestic world that this author has created which has enchanted me for the past two novels.
I must say we finally get some answers to the questions that have building up from the start of this series and new questions that need to be answered. It's a short novel compared to the last two but keeps the story and writing style that we have come to love with this series. I have to give this book five stars. This author has the talent to employ the right balance which wants you to come back for more of this series and I can’t wait for the next book.
Bethany Boudreaux is in exile. Self-imposed exile but that is not the point. The realm stops for no one and it is business as usual for the rest of the Lords and Ladies of the Realm. When Caius, werewolf representative for region one, comes to Beth with a problem, she jumps at the chance to escape the boring desert dunes of Vegas. Anything had to be better than endless hours of sitting around watching strippers, watching but not touching.
Her trip into the Tennessee Mountains brings more than a much-needed diversion. She lands in a centuries old battle she hadn’t known existed. A battle in which her boys are accused of all kinds of dastardly deeds. She is determined to find the truth. For in the truth she may finally find peace and a fleeting chance of love. But is she willing to pay the price?
