Blind Space by Marie Sexton

Summary:
Captain Tristan Kelley enjoys the luxuries of Regency service, as well as the pleasure of his Prince's bed. It's an easy life, if not a happy one. When the Prince decides to take a trip through the perilous Blind Space, Tristan must go with him, but somebody in the Prince's guard is a traitor.

Blind and held prisoner, Tristan finds himself at the mercy of Valero, a pirate who bears no love for the Regency. Valero is determined to seduce Tristan, and Tristan fears his resolve won't last. His duty is clear, but so is his desire. As the days tick by with no word or ransom from the Regency, Tristan begins to question what loyalty means to his Prince, the Regency he's sworn to, and to the man who holds him captive.

Tristan begins to realize that being a prisoner may actually set him free.

I really enjoyed this one! How can you not? Sexy, hot pirates with mohawks and tattoos flying through space! Sweet! You can’t help but love it! Marie Sexton did a superb job on this one. Great plot, excellently written; it just pulls you in and holds your attention from the start. I couldn’t put it down. I might even have put on a little rant when it came to an end, because it came to an end. Haha.

I'll admit at first it does drag a bit, but it doesn’t take long before you are so into the story, everyone and everything else around you fades away. You first meet Captain Tristan, who is a very interesting character. He is escorting Prince Rikard of the Regency through blind space essentially. To say he’s annoyed by Prince Rikard could very well be an understatement! I truly feel sorry for Tristan, having to put up with such a snobbish, arrogant jerk such as Prince Rikard. Not only does he have to protect the Prince, but apparently he is all there for the Prince’s pleasures. Tristan's character not only captivates but he also pulls you along very nicely. He is very loyal to the Regency, even though he knows they could and would just as easily turn there back on him or anyone. The fact that he is so loyal, while he understands it may be misguided, shows a lot on his character.

Now lets bring in Pirate Valero, he and his crew have just captured Captain Tristan, the Prince, and everyone else on board. Valero is sexy, hot, with a voice that is smooth, rich, and just makes you want to melt! I like how even though everyone on Tristan’s ship is taken captive they are treated well. I swear you don’t always see that in these type of books. It was a nice change. I enjoyed how Valero sort of ends up courting Tristan. Slowly reeling him in, making him want more. Tristan’s struggles with his loyalties to the Regency, to the Prince, are put to the test as he gets to know Valero and his crew, especially when the days begin to come and go and there is no word from the Regency on the ransom. They have a traitor in their mix!

Every scene that Valero and Tristan come together is well… HOT! It’s like it explodes with feelings, emotions, both struggling with there own issues. Valero is so tender with Tristan, yet he has his moments where you see the hard pirate warrior come through, it just makes it all come together beautifully.

I give this 5 stars… I want more! A sequel on Tristan and Valero as there new adventures continues into space! That would be so awesome! And I highly recommend this!!!
