Taking the Dare (Truth or Dare 4) by Lee Brazil

Summary:
Morgan Hawke is happy with the status of his relationship with Dan Blake. After three years, though, Dan's ready to move their relationship to the next level.

Having seen his brothers find love and settle into family life, Dan Blake has realized he's ready for change. The only problem with that is that his lover prefers to maintain the status quo. Dan's up for the challenge of changing Morgan's mind. He's got plans, and he's used to working behind the scenes to get his way.

Morgan can't understand the changes he sees in Dan. They've come a long way from the office of the bar where they met, but he's not sure he's ready to move their relationship from the shadows to the front pages. Publicity is okay for Dan—he's got the weight of the Blakes behind him—but the Morgan isn't sure he's ready to let go of the past he's been clinging to.
Can Dan manipulate a happy ending for this script?

Reviewer: TigerLily
Dan Blake has led a privileged life, he is rich, has a successful career, and brothers that love each other and are very close, but he can't help but feel like something is missing from his life. One day a week he goes to his best friend's bar and gets to be Danny, not Dan Blake the man everyone else wants to use to get ahead in Hollywood. On one of those such days he meets Morgan, who he feels a connection with right away; that is until he finds out that Morgan already knew who Dan was and was trying to get a part in an upcoming movie. Fast forward three years and Dan's lust and anger for Morgan has grown into love, but Morgan is still married to his high school sweetheart even if he still sleeps with Dan regularly. Dan decideds to give Morgan an ultimatum, to either have a relationship out in the open or end it, of course that doesn't go as planned and both men end up heartbroken and unhappy.

The last Lee Brazil novel that I reviewed I was only able to give 2 stars to because I just didn't like either of the main characters, which means I'm so glad that I'm able to give this novel a higher rating because Lee's writing really is some of the most beautiful out there whether it's mf or mm and her stories always have believable characters. With this story I fell in love with Dan right away and just wanted to protect him from the world of users that surrounded him and tell him he really was loved, even if he wasn't able to get it from his parents. After this story, Dan is easily my favorite Blake brother, but with Morgan it took a little longer for him to grow on me. I wanted to hit him a few times for the way he used Dan to get him into parties and such, but by the end of the story the way he gave up his life as an actor and tried to prove to Dan that he really did love him, he won me over also. As I've come to expect with all Lee Brazil novels, this novel had smoking hot sex scenes that were both steamy and filled with love.

The only problem I had with this novel was the time skipping, a few times months or weeks were skipped, so I wasn't sure how long the story covered and it made me a little confused but other than that I loved this story and I'm giving this novel 4.5 stars.
