Tom Foster is the organist and choirmaster for The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. He seems to have life figured out, he knows just what he wants and is striving to reach his goals. One of which is performing concerts - which are amazing in themselves! Through all this he never planned to fall in love, but than love doesn't let you choose when it'll happen...
In comes Noah Webster, running from his Southern Baptist family, and his homophobic father. He comes to the The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd looking to join the choir, ends up becoming Tom's page turner - which results in a strong friendship. Noah needs out of the place he lives, and Tom offers up his spare room, so now they are roommates! Soon their friendship grows into love, and they become partners in life. They just need to survive Noah's father, who it seems, is going to cause one major problem.
Let me start out with saying I love Etienne's writing! The detail that gets put into any one of Etienne's books is very refreshing. Not only do you get a great feel of the main characters, but the side characters as well. With just enough background on all side character and their stories, yet it doesn’t take away from the main characters. Love Turns the Page is truly amazing, pulling you in from the first page, almost refusing to let you put it down!
I loved the chemistry between Tom and Noah; the emotions were strong and compelling. The way their love developed and grew between them was truly intriguing. The building of the plot was well done; it kept my interest! I got enough of the past to understand how Noah grew up, but not too much that the focus was lost on the present. The struggles Noah had to deal with growing up were feelings that anyone at anytime would have had to go through everyday. Yet he didn’t let them control him.
The way Tom had his life planned out showed determination and focus. Even though he wasn’t looking for love, he accepted it with open arms, and embraced it wholeheartedly. Tom showed amazing support for Noah, encouraging him along at every step. Tom and Noah work well together, building off of each others strengths and weakness.
The Avondale Series is truly entertaining! One should not pass it by; it has enough mystery to keep you turning the pages, without losing focus. For the author to be able to continue a series with many characters is quite a feat!
I give this 4.5 stars, a wonderful read, and definitely recommended!!

Tom Foster has his life planned out, and he’s systematically pursuing his goals. At twenty-two, he’s been organist and choirmaster at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd for three years, he’s working on his doctoral thesis, and he's beginning a secondary career performing in concert. There is no room in his schedule for romance... until Noah Webster, a gorgeous green-eyed blond, walks into the church one evening to audition for the choir.
What starts as an arrangement of convenience—Tom’s usual page turner is unavailable, and Noah agrees to do the job—soon turns into a fast friendship. Then Noah, who is saddled with an obnoxious roommate, rents the spare bedroom in Tom’s house, and ultimately the two men become lovers and partners in life. But before they can ride off into the sunset together, they must face one major obstacle: Noah’s violent, homophobic Southern Baptist father.
