What an interesting story! It’s the first of a new series, The Chosen, and it’s about two antic and powerful races who are fighting against each other, the Spentas and the Mainyas.
When Ukko, a Spentas, arrived in San Diego, United States, four months ago, he felt something strange. Now he knows what the cause was: a Spentas woman, his woman.
Nimah was abandoned as a child and she doesn’t know who her parents were, but... she wasn’t normal. She had some freaky powers and she always dreamed of a man, Ukko. She always knew he was meant to be hers.
Ukko finds out that Nimah can be Spentas or Mainyas, it only depends on the choice she makes. Will she chose him?
I really enjoyed the story. Ms Shara Azod has a gift with these short stories, because she always makes them lovely; and you always enjoy them. Especially the paranormal ones. Great read, 4.5 stars.
